Why learn about nutrition?
Almost 70% of adults in the North East are overweight (NHS England).
There is a relationship between food and brain function, therefore what we eat affects our ability to carry out day-to-day tasks, including work.
Food and nutrition directly impact our energy levels, focus, and overall productivity. When we eat nutritious foods, we are more likely to maintain a stable energy level throughout the day, think more clearly, and perform better.
A well-balanced diet also supports mental wellbeing, reducing stress and improving mood.
Taking control of what you eat is one of the most important things you can do to improve your health.
“We are what we eat.”
